It was a 2-1 night for the Knoxville Volleyball Squad at the Carlisle Quad meet on Monday. The Panthers defeated the host Wildcats 2-1 21-10, 20-22 and 15-11 as Brittany Bacorn had 11 kills, seven assists and ten digs. The Panthers swept Ottumwa 21-11 and 23-21 as Emma Dunkin was perfect in 11 serve attempts. Knoxville’s only loss was to Oskaloosa in three sets. Abby Wadle had seven kills. Coach Mollie Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports without that one dominating hitter up front, she hopes it will be tougher for opponents to diagnose who to key on.
The Panthers have eight days off to prepare for their South Central Conference opener and home opener against Albia next Tuesday.
