The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday. They held a public hearing on the potential sale of 113 and 117 S Third Street in Knoxville. This item will be placed on the agenda for the next meeting. They shared an update on the demolition of the VA campus, and shared that seven buildings have been demolished. They received a presentation from Sheriff Jason Sandholdt about a possible sign-on bonus program in the sheriff’s office, with no action taken. The board also approved a courthouse grounds special event application for State Auditor Rob Sand’s town hall.

The next Marion County Board of Supervisors meeting will be September 14th at 9:00 a.m.
