The Pella Knights of Columbus held a Pellathon for the second year as part of their annual Campaign for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities.

Members of the organization from St. Mary’s Catholic Church called on businesses and residents to throw support behind the charitable effort from the stage of the Pella Opera House, with local and out-of-town performers taking the stage in the afternoon and evening. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio was at the event that highlighted the organizations receiving support from the Knights of Columbus through on-air interviews.

By the end of the variety show and interview event, nearly $36,000 was raised to support the Pella and Pella Christian Special Education Departments, Christian Opportunity Center, Wonder Spelen, and Iowa Special Olympics.

Donations can be made through Saturday at the Pella Hy-Vee, Fareway, and Walmart stores, and online via Venmo or this link: https://pellaknights.square.site/
