Pleasantville’s volleyball squad got off to a rough start to the season as they were swept in their season opener at Earlham Tuesday, 3-0.
The Trojans failed to register 20 points in any of the three sets against Earlham. Pleasantville lost by scores of 16-25, 18-25, and 16-25 in the match. Being in a tough West Central Conference, this match was a test to see where Pleasantville is. Now after their first match, they will have to go back to the drawing board to prepare for the rest of the season.
The loss drops Pleasantville to 0-1 on the season and they will be back in action Thursday. They take on reigning conference champions Des Moines Christian in their first home match of 2021.
