United Way of Marion County is a local non-profit organization that suffered losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the economy bounces back, they are looking for extra funding to continue to make a difference in local communities. Board Member Rita Schacherer says donations can be made in a variety of ways.

“We need to raise additional funds this year. Donations can be made through our Facebook page. You can also send them to our post office box, which is box 577 in Knoxville. Either of those ways are how people can donate directly to us, and we would add it to the campaigns we have going on.”
