John Schmidt, 53, of Pleasantville, has been identified as the victim who died in a crash on Army Post Road in rural Des Moines this morning. His vehicle was southbound on Hwy 65 when he lost control and crossed the median. His vehicle was struck by two vehicles in the northbound lanes.
