PCM’s Volleyball squad struggled in their first major tournament of the season at West Marshall, going 1-2 in their matches.
The Mustangs’ first match was against BCLUW, and PCM struggled to get points as they lost in straight sets, 2-0. PCM lost 21-12 and 21-10 in the two sets against the Comets. Claire Wilson and Riley Johannes each had two kills in the loss.
PCM’s second match was their only win in the tournament as they knocked off Centerville, two sets to one. PCM won set one, 21-13, lost set two 22-20, but then edged out the Big Reds in the third set 15-13.
The Mustangs’ final match was against Columbus Catholic, and they were swept in straight sets. PCM lost 21-10 and 21-17.
PCM will be back in action Monday for their first solo match of the season as they take a trip to Des Moines North. The match begins at 7:30 PM.
