The Pella Police Department held a 5K Saturday as part of an ongoing effort to bring a K-9 unit to the department. Runners and walkers braved the heat to run a route starting and ending at Pella Christian High School. Members of the Central Triathlon team and Pella Girls Basketball team volunteered to help guide participants, and K-9 units from both the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Knoxville Police Department were in attendance.
