Pella Christian hits the road tonight for their first Little Hawkeye Conference Volleyball match of the season against Class 4A’s #15 ranked team Norwalk. The Eagles come into the match after going 2-4 at the Skip Anderson Tournament in Bondurant over the weekend, while the Warriors will enter the contest with a 5-3 record. 

Competing against high caliber teams in the Little Hawkeye Conference is nothing new for the Eagles, who are the smallest school in the conference, but Head Coach Tammi Wight believes that school size is the only place that Pella Christian should be behind their conference opponents.

“We are kind of a small fish and that’s ok, but I would like to change that viewpoint a little bit. And I want these girls to know that we can compete with anybody that we compete against. All the teams are good, there are no gimme’s in the Little Hawkeye Conference and so we are just excited to get going.”

The Eagles conference opening match will begin at 7:15 pm tonight at Norwalk High School.
