All Indianola fall sports teams but football are in action today, marking the start of the season for three of the Indians squads. The boys golf squad will travel to Fort Dodge for a tournament with 18 other schools, including local rivals Norwalk and several schools from Des Moines and across the state.

The Indianola girls and boys cross country teams head to Dallas Center-Grimes to begin their seasons, facing off with several other Little Hawkeye Conference schools. Girls head coach Kim Arndt tells KNIA News the Indians schedule is set up to get an early read on some of the top teams they will be facing off against later in the season, but the early season is more about focusing on themselves rather than the competition.

The Indianola girls swimming team travels to Perry to compete at the McCreary Recreation Center, opening their 2021 season, and the Indians volleyball squad begins Little Hawkeye Conference play on the road at Pella.
