The filing period continues for upcoming city council and school board elections. The following Knoxville City Council seats will be open on the November 2nd general election:

Mayor: 2-year term

Council seat held by Dylan Morse: 4-year term
Council seat held by Megan Suhr: 4-year term

Council seat vacated by Justin Plum: remaining two years of term

Two seats are open on the Knoxville School Board, including the seats currently held by:

Marty Duffy
Larry Scott

The candidate filing period for each of these seats runs through September 16th.
