The filing period for candidates interested in running for positions on the Indianola City Council, Indianola Mayor, or Indianola School Board are currently open until September 16th. To be eligible to file, the candidate must be 18 years of age or older, a resident of Indianola, and a citizen of the United States.
Indianola City Council seats that will be open for the November 2nd election include:
Bob Kling – 2nd Ward
Greta Southall – 4th Ward
Greg Marchant – At-Large
Pam Pepper – Indianola Mayor

Indianola School Board members all serve in At-Large positions, and the terms that are up for election in November include:
Laurie Abernathy
Ken Bresnan
Carolyn Langenwalter
