The Knoxville Alumni Association will host numerous activities for this year’s Homecoming on Friday, September 25th and Saturday, September 26th.
Downtown businesses will display homecoming posters from the last 70 years. The association’s annual meeting is Friday at 11:00 a.m., with the opportunity to purchase memberships. The Grand Theater will be open from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. showing films that document the history of Knoxville.
The parade begins at 3:00, followed by a block gathering at 4:00 on the square. The class reunion lineup begins at 6:30 at Ken Locke Stadium, with the introduction of classes at 7:00 ahead of the football game against Creston.
On Saturday, the association’s second annual bags tournament will be held on the square at 2:00. It starts at 2:00 p.m. and is limited to 24 teams.
