Cases of COVID-19 are significantly on the rise in Warren County, with 120 new positive tests over the last week, nearly double the average from earlier this summer, with a 10% test positivity rate. Fifty-eight percent of the new positive cases come from those aged 39 and under.
According to the New York Times Coronavirus Database, 50% of Warren County adults are fully vaccinated, and the current risk level for unvaccinated adults has been reclassified very high to an extreme risk. Iowa as a state is 52% vaccinated.
The area has had 92 deaths total from the virus, with only two of those occurring since early June. COVID-19 vaccinations are available every Tuesday at Warren County Health Services from 8:30am to 4pm. For more information, click below.
