Cross country has officially started in 2021 in the Tulip City at the home invitational for Pella and Pella Christian, with both teams beginning a new season Saturday.
The No. 3 Pella boys and No. 6 Pella girls both placed 2nd in the Large School division behind the No. 2 North Polk boys and the 18th ranked Comets girls.
Pella Christian’s boys and girls both missed key runners for the weekend, and placed 4th in the boys small school race and the Eagles were 7th among the girls.
Pella is off until the Ballard Cross Country Invitational on Monday, September 13th, while the Eagles head to Lake Fisher in Bloomfield for the Davis County meet this Thursday.
