The Knoxville Cross Country Squads will head to Grinnell today to run against 15 other schools, some who the Panthers might see later in the season at the State Qualifier. The Panthers have aspirations to take the entire team to the State Meet in Fort Dodge and Boys Coach Michael Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the State Meet is very much in place this season.

Splavec:
“Definitely a team goal that we’ve set. We would like to have a team to qualify, there’a a lot of work between now and then, but it’s definitely not out of reach.”

Meanwhile, at Knoxville High School, the volleyball squad, fresh off a runner-up finish at Atlantic on Saturday with a 3-1 record, will carry that momentum into a match against Davis County. The Panthers will try to get back into the South Central Conference race after falling in five sets to Albia last week.
