The Indianola City Council tabled an ordinance regarding regulations for ATV’s, snowmobiles, and golf carts using city streets at their meeting Tuesday. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the process began after the council directed the Planning and Zoning Committee to review the topic and make a recommendation, but the council wanted more time to review the changes.

“One of the reasons that was stated was a couple of the council members wanted more time to look over the ordinance and understand the implications of it as well as how it works in concert with the state code that allows for some of these modes of transportation.”

The council is next scheduled to meet on September 20th.
