The Marion County Development Commission is sponsoring a meeting about talent attraction. As part of the Iowa Workforce Innovation Network, Iowa State University has been doing research on Marion County and has completed a survey of area employers regarding workforce. Director Carla Eysink says this is open to anyone interested in attracting talent, which is an important initiative for the county.

“If there’s any listeners out there, employers especially, interested in learning more about workforce recruitment and talent attraction, we have a meeting online that anyone can join. All they need to do is email ceysink@marioncountyiowa.gov, and we can send you the link to participate in the discussion about talent attraction. That is an important initiative.”

Information will be shared on who is available to hire and best practices to hire. Input will be collected on which strategies or segments will be included in a regional talent attraction focus. The meeting is Wednesday, September 22nd from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
