PCM’s volleyball squad lost their fifth consecutive match Thursday night as they were swept in straight sets by Nevada.
The Mustangs have also lost seven of their last eight matches, including six by straight sets. PCM lost the sets 19-25, 10-25, and 9-25. PCM’s inability to lead and win sets is becoming an apparent problem for the team as they failed to register 20 points in every set this season. Chelsea Bird had four kills and six digs to lead the way for PCM. Sidney Shaver had six assists and six kills for the Mustangs. The Mustangs drop to 5-11 on the season and 1-3 in Heart of Iowa Conference play.
PCM’s next match will be a rematch with the only team they have beaten in conference play, Saydel, at home next Thursday.
