The Simpson Storm football squad will look to pick up their first win of the season today hosting the Pointers of the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point at Buxton Stadium today. The Storm are coming off of a tough week one against Mary Hardin-Baylor, and will have to contend against a Pointers squad that won in convincing fashion in their week one contest 31-14 with a combined rushing and passing attack. Head coach Matt Jeter said his team is wiping away the box score of week one and taking away the positives to apply to this week.

“Anyone worth their salt in any profession wants to play the best. Sometimes you play the best and it doesn’t go the way you wanted, sometimes you get a no-hitter thrown at you and that’s what happened to us, we got a no-hitter thrown at us last Saturday by a very good team. So now it’s how do we respond, how do we get back on track.”
