Vermeer Corporation dedicated the new Plant 7, marking the end of the rebuild following the 2018 tornado.
On Friday, Vermeer President and CEO Jason Andringa celebrated the Grand Opening of Plant 7 with local, state and federal government officials, partner associations, contractors and Vermeer team members. Andringa reflected on the tornado that ultimately spurred the investment into Plant 7, shared about the growth of Vermeer in the U.S. and around the world and how this all helps them deliver on their promise to rebuild.
“That night, I said that Vermeer was not going to just rebuild, we were going to come back better and stronger than ever before. And this big, beautiful plant is a culmination and total proof that we did in fact do that,” said Andringa. “We not only rebuilt, we came back better and stronger than ever before.”
A community open house was hosted on Saturday following tours for the families and friends of employees Friday afternoon. Hear more about the dedication of Plant 7 on today’s Let’s Talk Pella.
