The filing period for upcoming city council and school board elections ends tomorrow. The following Knoxville City Council seats will be open on the November 2nd general election:

Mayor: 2-year term

Council seat held by Dylan Morse: 4-year term
Council seat held by Megan Suhr: 4-year term

Council seat vacated by Justin Plum: remaining two years of term

Two seats are open on the Knoxville School Board, including the seats currently held by:

Marty Duffy
Larry Scott

Those interested in running for office must have their paperwork filed by 5:00 p.m. Thursday.
