The Indianola girls swimming team takes on one of their most difficult opponents of the season tonight, hosting the Rams of Southeast Polk at the Indianola YMCA. The Indians have seen success so far this season, winning several meets against Perry and Grinnell, and head coach Aaron Strain tells KNIA Sports the early season results are more about technique and mindset, rather than getting the most points.
“We’ve sort of backed off a little bit this year, than what we’ve done in the past. Just taking things a little more slowly to help avoid injuries and to make sure our girls are peaking in October and November and not September.”
Action starts tonight at 5:30pm.
