The Pleasantville City Council met in a special session Wednesday. They approved a proposition for November’s general election ballot, meaning voters will decide whether or not a tax of up to 27 cents per thousand of assessed value will be imposed for the support of a public library.

In other business, the council approved a hire to the public works department.
