The Knoxville City Council met in regular session Monday. They approved a resolution to guarantee a local match to the Central Iowa Housing Trust Fund for local projects. They approved a plat of survey to extend W Bell Avenue for the purpose of a new housing development, as well as a site plan development. City Manager Heather Ussery says this will bring much-needed housing units to Knoxville.
The council also approved a new record management system for the police department.
The next Knoxville City Council meeting will be October 4th at 6:15 p.m.
