The Pella Christian Volleyball team returns to Eagle Lane tonight where they will play host to Dallas Center-Grimes.

The Eagles come into the match with a 4-10 record following a 2-2 performance at the Des Moines Christian Invitational. Pella Christian upset Southeast Warren, who was ranked #15 in Class 1A at the time, with a 2-0 sweep in set scores of 21-18 and 21-17. The Eagles also knocked off Newton in three sets 25-23, 14-21, and 16-14. The Eagles two losses came to the #3 team in Class 3A Des Moines Christian and Knoxville, with both losses coming in two sets. Going into a matchup of similar teams, Eagles Head Coach Tammi Wight is excited for the matchup.

“We’re looking forward to playing Dallas Center-Grimes, because we get to play at home which is great. With kids having to fill some roles, we expect some nerves again. We feel like we can compete with Dallas Center-Grimes, that they’re one that we should compete with, so I expect us to come out and just keep getting better.”

First serve for tonight’s matchup on Eagle Lane between the Eagles and Mustangs is set for 7:15 pm.
