PCM’s cross country squad did perform better in their home meet, but attitude and effort will be the theme for the final month of the season.
The Mustangs have two meets left on their schedule before their conference meet at Jewell. PCM’s final two meets of the season will be a trip to Williamsburg next Tuesday and travelling to Moravia next Thursday. Coach Eric Karr tells KRLS Sports that despite the struggles, he is excited to have his team go back to Williamsburg next week because they will be more fresh than the first time they competed up there.
“One of the things I really like is that we will head back to Williamsburg on Tuesday. We will be able to take here’s where we were in that very first race where we weren’t even remotely fresh, not close to being fresh. They had a nine-mile run two days before that race. We’re gonna have them fresh, we are going to have them ready to go and we are going to see what improvements can be made.”
PCM’s second meet at Williamsburg this season will be Tuesday at the Williamsburg Recreation Center.
