The Indianola boys cross country team placed 4th, while the girls placed 5th at their home meet at Pickard Park Thursday afternoon. The boys were paced by a 2nd place finish from Logan Hoger and a third place finish from Curtis Johnson, with Hunter Seifrig placing 22nd, Jack Runyan in 32nd, and Logan Piper in 36th. Seifrig tells KNIA Sports the experience gained at today’s meet will help the team a lot later down the road, because not only is it their home course but it will be the course they run at districts.
The girls were paced by Emily Naughton in 8th place, Gracie Foster placed 13th, Jordyn Brown in 22nd, Bree Tenges in 24th, and Remy Sivertsen in 27th. Both squads will next run on Tuesday at Knoxville.
