The Melcher-Dallas Fire Department will hold its annual Fire Prevention Supper and Lighted Parade on Sunday, October 3rd. Chief Zach Kalvig says those in attendance will be supporting area youth.

“The meal starts at 4:00 p.m. and the parade starts when it gets dark. We’re doing dine-in or carry-out, whichever you prefer. It’s a free-will donation with proceeds going to our Melcher-Dallas Fire Department scholarship fund. Also that night, we’re handing out one free smoke alarm for each household in our jurisdiction. So stop on out, get some food and a smoke alarm, and watch the parade.”

The meal will be served at the Melcher-Dallas Fire Department beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3rd, with the parade to follow.
