Pleasantville’s volleyball squad will be back in action tonight as they take on reigning West Central Conference Champion Van Meter, while the cross country squad will travel to Clarke for their next meet.
The Trojans’ volleyball squad will try to break their four-match losing streak as they take on the Bulldogs of Van Meter. Pleasantville’s last four losses were to PCM, Sigourney, Ogden, and Grand View Christian. The Trojans’ losses to PCM and Sigourney were in the North Mahaska tournament, while their losses to Ogden and Grand View Christian were in a home triangular. Pleasantville last beat Van Meter in October 2019 and will be looking to play spoiler to the Bulldogs, who are a half-game behind Des Moines Christian in the West Central Conference standings. The match at Pleasantville High School will begin at 6:30 PM.
The Trojans’ cross country squad will be at Clarke for their first meet in a week. The last meet Pleasantville competed in they finished towards the bottom of the rankings at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, with the girls finishing eighth and the boys finishing ninth. The meet will be at East Lake Park in Clarke today.
The meet at Clarke will begin today at 5:00 PM.
