Central College’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts presents the Tony Award Winning musical A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder October 7 through the 10 in the Kruidenier Theatre.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and students. Central College students, faculty and staff are free with school ID. Tickets are available at events.central.edu. Tickets also available at the door before each performance.
“A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder is a murderous romp filled with unforgettable music, non-stop laughs and a scene-stealing role in which one actor plays all eight of the
doomed heirs who meet their ends in the most creative and side-splitting ways,” according to director C.D. Adamson.
The cast includes Bryson McGowan as Monty Navarro; Hannah Woerner as Miss Shingle; Kami Waymire as Sibella Hallward; Nicholas Root as the “D’Ysquith Family”; Meredith
Ackerman as Phoebe D’Ysquith. Ensemble members include Claire Ackerman, Andrea Bogaard, Jack Enright, Cody Jacobson, Brennan McGee and Vicky Riewer. Production assignments for A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder include Ron Rybkowski (Tech Director, Set and Lighting Design); Kate Kanne Smith (Costume Design); Mia Condon (Stage Manager), Rachel Allen (Assistant Stage Manager); Mollie Abkes (Props); Maddie McClure (sound); Andrea Bogaard (Front of House).
A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder is the first mainstage show of Theatre Central’s 2021-2022 season. The next production will be That Day in Tucson, directed by Dr. Mary Jo Sodd running November 17-20, 2021.
