Pleasantville’s cross country squad goes back on the road tonight as they travel to Red Haw State Park in Chariton for their next meet.
The Trojans will look to have a higher finish in this meet after both the boys and girls placed fifth in their last meet at Clarke Tuesday. Pleasantville’s girls’ top finisher was Riley Thill, who placed 28th overall with a time of 28:08. The Trojans’ boys’ top finisher was Devon Luing, who placed 11th overall with a time of 20:22. This meet will feature familiar foes including Twin Cedars, Southeast Warren, and Wayne. Coach Aaron Fichter states that there is still a lot of room for improvement on his team with the season reaching its end.
“I think there’s a lot of room for improvement still. When I look at our group I don’t see from top to bottom a lot of kids that are at the high end of mileage and at the high end of where they are timewise. I still think there is a lot of growth that can be made.”
The meet at Red Haw State Park in Chariton will be at 5:00 PM.
