Thrive Knoxville’s matching donation program for the City of Knoxville’s Christmas tree fundraiser ends today. For every dollar raised through the end of September, the organization will match the amount up to $3,000.

City Manager and Thrive member Heather Ussery says the city is looking to purchase a 26-foot-tall tree, which would be placed on the courthouse lawn this and future holiday seasons. The city’s goal is to raise $22,000. Donations can be submitted via Venmo, mailed, or dropped off at City Hall. These are eligible as a tax deduction.
