The Indianola Public Safety Department along with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office are holding the annual Public Safety Open House next week in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week, providing the public a chance to learn more about fire prevention and meeting public safety personnel. Firefighter Bob Soukup tells KNIA News safety activities will be available for kids and parents about what to do in the event of a fire, what happens when the fire alarm goes off, and the benefits of having a plan in place in case of an emergency.

The Indianola Noon Lions will be on location grilling hot dogs and providing food for the event, which begins at 6pm at the Indianola Fire Department on Thursday, October 7th. For more information, tune in to today’s Let’s Talk Indianola.
