The Simpson football team will take another crack at earning their first win of the season this week in Dubuque, taking on the Duhawks of Loras College. The Storm are coming off of giving up 84 points to rival Central College at Buxton Stadium last week, and will now match up with Loras who is undefeated in American Rivers Conference play after a pair of comeback victories over Buena Vista and Nebraska Wesleyan. Head coach Matt Jeter tells KNIA Sports while the team does feel pressure to pick up a win, they are preparing for today like it’s any other game.

“You can’t play tight, you have to play loose and trust your technique and trust your assignment. We’ve been level throughout the week as far as where we need to be, not too high not too low, just continue to chop wood. I don’t want the guys to feel like they are pressing, that they have to make a play. We don’t need to play a perfect game, we just need to execute and play a good solid game and they’ll be fine.”
