The Melcher-Dallas Fire Department will hold its annual Fire Prevention Supper and Lighted Parade today. Chief Zach Kalvig says those in attendance will be supporting area youth.
“The meal starts at 4:00 p.m. and the parade starts when it gets dark. We’re doing dine-in or carry-out, whichever you prefer. It’s a free-will donation with proceeds going to our Melcher-Dallas Fire Department scholarship fund. Also that night, we’re handing out one free smoke alarm for each household in our jurisdiction. So stop on out, get some food and a smoke alarm, and watch the parade.”
The meal will be served at the Melcher-Dallas Fire Department beginning at 4:00 p.m. with the parade to follow.
