The Indianola Kiwanis held a pancake breakfast fundraiser in September, raising money to help fund their local programs aimed towards assisting local children. Kiwanis President Susan Glick tells KNIA News the breakfast was a big signal to the organization that the community is ready to support them.
“I think people were looking forward to it when we were out contacting local businesses and people that we sold tickets to, they were ready for it. They were telling us it was good it was back, and they missed it. For us, it was good to get geared up for it again. Something we’ve done for 54 years, I haven’t all that time, but it was something to get back in the groove of doing and everyone was looking forward to it.”
