Pat Bennett
Patricia Bennett of Pleasantville has been sentenced after being found guilty in July of Stalking Against a Minor, Tampering with a Witness and Conspiracy to Commit each of those offenses, for a total of four counts. Stalking Against a Minor is a Class D Felony and carries up to five years in prison. Those sentences have been suspended. Tampering With a Witness is an Aggravated Misdemeanor and carries up to two years in prison. She was sentenced to 30 days, with the rest suspended.
The charges stem from Bennett’s attempt to alter a witness testimony in the upcoming trial of her son Chad, who is accused of sexual abuse of a minor. That trial will begin December 14th.
