The Pella Christian Cross Country Squads were able to beat several ranked teams Tuesday at the Centerville Invitational at Honey Creek Resort, while Twin Cedars’s Rylee Dunkin won her sixth race of the season. The class 1A #8 ranked Saber blistered the course in a new school record time of 19:26, while Andrew Freel finished 117th but recorded a personal best time of 21:27 as did girls runner Jayden Weldon in 30:54. The class 1A #16 Pella Christian boys finished 4th beating two ranked teams in class 2A #16 Albia and class 1A #20 Wayne. The Eagles were led by top ten finishes from Kaden Van Wyngarden in 9th at 17:34, and Ryan Natelborg in 10th at 17:45. Both Knoxville boys and girls placed 8th. The girls were led by Natalie Collins in 32nd with a time of 22:48 while the boys were led by Seth Walraven in 6th place in a time of 17:18. The PCM girls were 9th led by Paige Steenhoek in 23rd with a time of 22:08, the Mustang boys did not have enough runners to score, but were led by Kyle Sanders in 80th with a time of 20:03.
