The Norwalk boys golf team fell short of qualifying at state in Tuesday’s district meet in Ames. The Warriors shot 351 as a team, placing ninth. Individually, the top finisher for Norwalk was Nathan Lesley, placing 25th by shooting an 86.

The Norwalk volleyball team was also in action Tuesday, beating Dallas Center-Grimes 3-1 in a Little Hawkeye Conference tilt. The Warriors took control by winning the first two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-20. Set 3 saw the Mustangs gain some life, taking the set 25-22. But Norwalk slammed the door on a comeback attempt by winning set 4 25-18. Norwalk moves to 16-12 overall and 4-2 in conference play. They’ll be back in action at Indianola Tuesday.
