Pleasantville’s volleyball squad will have one final tournament this season, which will be at Martensdale-St. Mary’s Saturday.

The Trojans are coming off splitting their triangular Monday at Interstate-35 with the host and Chariton. Before the tournament, Pleasantville will have their final home match of the season Thursday against Woodward-Granger. At the tournament Saturday, the Trojans will compete with Martensdale, Montezuma, Earlham, Southeast Warren and Van Meter. This will be the second straight tournament Pleasantville will compete with Southeast Warren after the two teams finished in the top two at the Pleasantville tournament last weekend. Coach Joel Allman tells KNIA Sports that he remains optimistic about his team as Pleasantville will try to end the season strong.

“We have some really good players that can do a lot of things and can do it at a high level. We just need to consistently do that.”

Pleasantville’s next match against Woodward-Granger will begin at 6:30 PM Thursday.
