A ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of People’s Bank in Knoxville was held Wednesday afternoon. Now that the bank is open, President/CEO Kevin Halterman says the next step is to become integrated and part of the greater Knoxville business community.

“It’s exciting. Now, it’s time to get to know everyone and find out from them how we can help Knoxville grow. We’ve come in, wanting to be part of the success, and extending anything we can to help the consumers, home owners, the school district, whatever we can to be successful.”

This is the seventh branch of People’s Bank, which offers complete community banking services. A reception was held after the ribbon cutting, which included refreshments and giveaways. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio was on site to play music.
