“Girls Night Out” hosted by Knoxville Hospital & Clinics was held Thursday evening in downtown Knoxville. The event was held downtown for the first time, and saw a large number of people in attendance. The event, held in accordance with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is to promote awareness for health issues that affect women. Breast cancer survivor Cindy Crozier says routine checkups and self care go a long way in this effort.

“It’s all important. Your health, your eating habits, how you take care of yourself. We have families out there, and we want to be there for our families. I’d just encourage everyone to get their mammograms done, get their physicals, and just take care of yourself.”

The event made its return this year after being cancelled last year. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio was on site.
