For the second straight week, the Indianola football team is staying home in Warren County but on the road, this week at Carlisle. The Indians are looking to recover from their first loss of the season last week at the hands of rival Norwalk, and will match up with a Wildcats squad that has won three of their last four games, averaging over 40 points and only giving up 18 points or less in their three wins.
Indianola head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports Carlisle is a tough, disciplined football team, and Indianola will need to do a much better job up front than what they showed last week.
“Control the line of scrimmage. Carlisle is going to want to continue to move the chains and control the clock, a lot of what Norwalk was able to do a week ago through the passing game. So we’ve got to be able to get off the field on third down, and that will come through controlling the line of scrimmage.”
The game can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the play-by-play. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30.
