The #5 (4A) Norwalk football team was in and out of Perry quickly Friday, picking up a 42-0 victory, as aired on KNIA3. The game was shortened by a total of 12 minutes due to injuries in Perry’s program.

Norwalk wasted no time in getting the scoring underway, as quarterback Landon Hochstein danced in from three yards out for the game’s first score. Chase Monroe picked up his first touchdown of the season, followed by a Ky Pearson scoop n’ score. A Dillon Ranck reception from 17 yards made it 28-0 late in the first, and Luke Jones touchdown on the first play of the second quarter put the running clock rule in effect the rest of the way. Toward the end of the game, backup quarterback Aiden Harder delivered a touchdown pass to Will Patterson to complete the scoring. Head Coach Paul Patterson says his team accomplished exactly what they wanted to – take care of business early, avoid injuries, and get the reserves some playing time.

Seven players received credit for touchdowns in the game, which lasted around 90 minutes. Norwalk moves to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in district play. They’ll host Carlisle next week.
