During the fall and winter months, Indianola Parks and Rec will have an opportunity for young kids to get out of the house with indoor play dates.
Kathy Kester with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News the play dates will allow for kids to have fun, and parents to get out of the house and connect with other parents.
“This is for children age 6 and younger, who just need to get out of the house and blow some stink off as we say. We have toys that you don’t have room for in your house, and we have a big space that you can just let them run and play and really enjoy themselves. We just want to be that outlet when everyone is getting a little stir crazy from not being able to go outside.”
The Indoor Play Dates will be on Wednesday’s from 10:30am to noon, and free to enter thanks to Peoples Bank who sponsors the event.
