The Norwalk and Indianola volleyball teams both travel to Grinnell today for the Little Hawkeye Conference Tournament.
Norwalk is in Pool A, and will start the day with matches against Dallas Center-Grimes, Oskaloosa and Newton. Senior Cate Backstrom says while the league opponents are tough, they play well when they focus on themselves and what they need to do to win, rather than the opponent.
“Our league is obviously very talented, we have a lot of tough competition. I think we’ve done well with focusing on us. Every team could beat us, and we could beat every team. You never know what’s going to happen.”
Indianola is in Pool B, and will take on Pella, Grinnell and Pella Christian.
Following pool play, the corresponding finishers from each pool will play in the championship round. Action begins at 4:30 p.m. at Grinnell High School.
