The 2021 Knoxville Cancer Relay began Thursday evening with a kickoff party outside Ken Locke Stadium. Groups of people are currently running throughout Knoxville in an effort to raise money for cancer awareness. Co-organizer Steve Linsley says the proceeds will go to Knoxville Panthers Coaches vs. Cancer.

“We will make a donation to the Knoxville Panthers Coaches vs. Cancer. We’ll compile donations up until then. That’s something we keep in house, we don’t announce it until that night. It’s all for that.”

The run concludes tonight right before the start of the Knoxville football game against ADM at Ken Locke Stadium. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio was on site during the kickoff party to play music and make announcements.
