It has been an eventful and trying week for the Knoxville Football Squad. On Monday, the Panthers found out Eric Kellar had resigned as football coach. The Panthers will press on with Chris Hudson as interim Head Coach and Knoxville will play the final two weeks of the season starting tonight in Ken Locke Stadium with ADM. Tigers bring in a wealth of talent on both sides of the ball led by dual threat quarterback Matt Dufoe, who has passed for 1,054 yards and ten touchdowns, and leads the team on the ground with 798 yards and 11 scores. Hudson tells KNIA/KRLS Knoxville’s defensive plan is to get ADM to do things the Tigers do not want to do.
Hudson: “They’ll run zone reads and variations of that, and if you’re not in the right place, they’ll gash you, and our plan is to get them into situations they don’t want to be in and if we can do that, you never know.”
Hudson adds there will not be many changes as to what fans see on the field. He says they have stressed more simple blocking and tackling this week and simplifying how things are done.
