Peoples Bank in Indianola held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, celebrating the opening of their new administration building and training center with the Indianola Chamber of Commerce. Peoples Bank President Kevin Halterman tells KNIA News the building has been in operation since February, and is a good sign of growth at the bank and in the community.

“When we started in ‘04 and ‘05, we were really just servicing four locations. Now we are at seven and our footprint is much larger. Back then we were a $175 million bank, now we are knocking on $500 million. And that just brings on a lot more team members to take care of the customers and handle the back room functions that we do every day.”

Halterman also said the building is state-of-the-art, and meant to be as safe as possible for staff and helps with social distancing.
